Hello Hello! How is everybody doing? Here's the rundown of what happened this week.
Monday
Today, for our P-Day activity, we decided to go to this Buddhist temple. That place was super creepy that I'm not even going to show you pictures of. After that, we visited this metal shop that created replicas of popular movie and television characters. They look pretty sweet.
Tuesday
Usual Tuesday. After English Class, I had the chance of meeting S. Maow and S. Ay again. S. Maow was feeling a bit stressed out because she still can't get Sundays off for work. So I read 1 Nephi 3:7 to ensure her that she needs faith and desire to follow God in order to overcome her challenges.
Wednesday
Today, I got to go on switch with E. Powers. Woot woot! I finally was able to get my debit card out from that evil, dreaded ATM machine and buy ourselves a new washing machine! We didn't have one for over 2 weeks. Hooray! After that, we met with the Ward Secretary, B. Jang, and learned about his conversion story. He was over 26 when he was baptized and couldn't serve, but the mission president decided to let him serve for 2 months in Thailand as a Pseudo-Missionary. That's pretty sweet. After that, we get to play baby-sitters at BoM class as they lady dropped off her kids for English class but didn't realize that we only have English Class on Tuesday. So we get to read able Alma the Younger's conversion story with these kids and play Bingo afterwards.
Thursday
Washing Machine is now fully implemented. Woot! No more hand washing FOREVER! Today, we visited B. Nurak's house because both E. Reid and E. Webb will be playing a special musical number at this special and famous Family Awards event at Jangwattana. We got free ice cream and guava as well. . Then we visited S. Jai's house for dinner and to get to know her family, them being recent converts.
Friday
Today, we visited S. Moddang's house to help her move some of her furniture in her house and got free dinner as well. Then, we biked to the large market to do some inviting, but as we arrived we noticed that people were packing and this person then said this in broken English...
"Sorry! But rain is a coming!"
We looked in the sky and thought to ourselves, "Yeah Right". So everyone was leaving and we couldn't get inviting in. So, we got and left. We stopped at a red light and it started to sprinkle.
The next minute later, we are booking and biking as fast as possible because we thought we were about to drown. The rain just started pouring like crazy and I really thought I was about to die that night. People here in Thailand are afraid of the rain. I see why.
Saturday
Speaking of rain, I'm sick today. Dang it. I had no energy and by evening time I thought I was gonna die. Anyways, in the morning we met with B. Almsein to watch Finding Faith in Phrakhrist! After that, we ate lunch at the Pizza Company, Thailand's very own pizza franchise. While we were eating, a 4 year-old called E. Reid (I didn't know what happened at first) and asked if he can pray with her because her mom turned off her phone. It turned out to be the daughter of one of my RCs from Srinagkharin. It was the cutest thing ever. Then, we had a Sports Day where we were attempting to play badminton, but Elder Reid and I couldn't because we had a meeting at 4. That meeting was with S. Sudjai. Still kinda crazy. After that, we met with B. Win to watch FFIC.
Sunday
B. Win was confirmed a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Awesomesauce. After that, we got to meet with his girlfriend, S. Fon and teach her about the 10 commandments. After that, we visited an LA member, S. Khanxng. She's not the healthiest of people so she hasn't been the church in over 5 years. But I have a feeling that she still can. We will work on that!
That's all for this week! See ya next week!
