Hello Hello! How is everyone doing? I'm having such a blast here in Thailand. I have to say this week has been a huge week, both in things fun and in things spiritual.
Monday
This P-Day was a special P-Day! As emailing, we went to สะพานสูง for a Special Sports Day with all the missionaries from the Bangkok area. We all went to this private Catholic School where this member works at. There, we played things such as soccer, basketball, Ultimate frisbee, etc. There, I also got to see some of the missionaries from my group at the MTC. Neato! We had FHE at B. ตอ๋ง again.
Tuesday
In the morning, instead of studies we went to this family's home at the far end of Srinagkharin. Their names were S. ยุย (Yuey) and B. สัน (San). They have 4 sons. They were interested in the gospel because B. สัน's family had all been converted in the US and Canada except for him because he was in India at that time. He and his wife wanted his children to become members and to have good morals which apparently many kids here do not have or have a different set of virtues. Anyways, they took the Gospel, Law of Chasity, and Words of Wisdom pretty well. I think they live closer to Bangnaa, so the missionaries over there will take care of them. Side-note, they have the most beautiful home. Super classy, split into two parts with a small pond/pool in the middle. Anyways, after that, we went to Swensons with S. ออ, where Elder Boonmee talked about Superhero origins for most of the time. After that, we taught S. นอ้ย the 10 commandments. Then, we taught English,I did a horrible job of teaching Pronouns. Then, we chatted with S. จุน and S. แจมม, where S. แจม finally got permission to be baptized. I'm super excited!!
Wednesday
Today was decent. I went on splits with B. ประจัก (Brajak) to teach S. นอ้ย Lesson 5 while Elder Boonmee was checking on how S. มน (Mon) was doing. Then, there was the Sheeps to Lamb Chops meeting again.
Thursday
Today was an interesting day, I had to travel all the way to Chaengwattana to get my work permit. But, as I was there, I had the chance to see all my good buddies again. Then, we all went to Que Pasa, a Mexican restaurant ran by Khon Thais smack dab in the middle of Thailand. The food was good though. Afterwards, we traveled back to the church in Srinagkharin to follow up with S. นอ้ย and her nephew. The nephew didn't seem to interested, but we are just farmers planting to seed of Christ in them. Then, we had sports night, where we played ping pong with this 10 year old and some other kid who were crazy good at it. Then, we followed-up with S. แจม by teaching lesson 5.
Friday
For lunch, instead of our typical place, we went to this รา้น nearby this คลอง (sewage waste canal thingy). Interesting indeed. We then invited at SeaCon a little until a Security Guard told us to stop it because someone got pissed or something. We went back to the church to teach S. แจม the 10 commandments. Then, I helped Elder Feist teach S. ออ the priesthood.
Saturday
Today was jam-packed! After Coordination, we talked to S. แจม and S. นอ้ย to prepare them for their baptismal interview. S. นอ้ย wasn't feeling too good today because apparently some member straight-up told her that she wasn't ready for baptism and other stuff. That right that made me a little mad because that almost caused her to not get baptized and from that point onward, she is a little uneasy with the members. No one has the right to deny someone their baptismal or to judge them on their readiness for baptism but the missionary leaders, the interviewees, and God. It's sad to see someone go through that. They passed though! Afterwards, I help prepare the wedding of S. Kat and Brother Craig and had an awesome time at their wedding. They had good food, good performances, etc.
Sunday
Today was awesome, S. ออ, S. แจม and S. นอ้ย were all baptized! Woot! That is so cool! It was definitely a really spiritual day. After that, we went with B. สู้ to visit B. รัก (rak "To love"), the person who baptized B. สู้ but then fell less-active. We shared a little from Ether 12:27 and a little about the temple in Thailand. He said that he will be at church this Sunday, so cool! Then, we went to B. มนุต (manud (man/mankind)) house for dinner, where we had spaghetti with Khabuun. They have cute doggies.
This week was a really exciting week. See ya next week!
